CROSS CANADIAN RAGWEED’S RED DIRT ROUNDUP RETURNS TO EAST TEXAS

Bud Light Presents the 2nd Annual Red Dirt Roundup in Nacogdoches, October 17 - Tickets On-sale Today!

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (September 21, 2009) – Cross Canadian Ragweed’s 2nd Annual RED DIRT ROUNDUP returns to Festival Plaza, Saturday, October 17. Presented by Smith Music Group and Cross Canadian Ragweed, last year’s inaugural Red Dirt Roundup drew more than 5,000 fans to downtown Nacogdoches.  

The 2009 Red Dirt Roundup Lineup Includes Cross Canadian Ragweed, Shooter Jennings, Blackberry Smoke, Bart Crow, Matt King, Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights, Jason Boland, Johnny Cooper and Tom Gillam. There will be two stages of continuous entertainment and an expanded beer garden encompassing 60,000 square feet of the park.  Beer and wine will be available for purchase within this area.  Once you buy a ticket, concert goers will be permitted to leave and re-enter throughout the day. 

Gates open at 11:00 am with local artist WHODUNNIT? hitting the stage first at 11:15am. Tickets are $25 and go on-sale today, Monday Sept. 21 at Baskins, Hastings, Brookshire Brothers, and Sutherlands locations and online at www.ccrreddirtroundup.com and www.ticketmaster.com Children 12 and under free with paid adult.  

About Cross Canadian Ragweed:  Grady Cross, Cody Canada, Randy Ragsdale and Jeremy Plato have known each other since kindergarten in the band’s hometown of Yukon, OK.  The band has been a force on the alt-country scene since 1998.  It’s hard to define their music...part country - part rock.  Originally having a core fanbase in Texas and Oklahoma, they have recently performed to sold-out crowds from coast to coast.  On September 1, 2009 they released their 10th album, Happiness and All the Other Things, selling over 15,000 copies in the first week.

Red Dirt Roundup Band Schedule Finalized

CCR's 4th Annual Red Dirt Roundup Will Rock Stockyards Sunday, Sept 6

FORT WORTH STOCKYARDS, TEXAS (September 2, 2009) - Cross Canadian Ragweed's 4th annual RED DIRT ROUNDUP returns to the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards, Labor Day weekend, Sunday, September 6th. The "North Forty" field, just east of Billy Bob’s Texas, formerly cattle pens, will be transformed into an all day concert venue.

A mixture of Red Dirt Country and alternative rock, the bands performing at the 2009 Red Dirt Roundup include Cross Canadian Ragweed, The Wallflowers featuring Jakob Dylan, Robert Earl Keen, The Randy Rogers Band, Jonathan Tyler, Johnny Cooper, and more! There will be two stages of continuous entertainment, and the festival will allow concert goers to enjoy restaurants and shops in the historic stockyards district.
